About Me

Hello.  Welcome to “Life and Grace”.  I’m Frank Spires.  I’m glad you dropped in.  Can I tell you a little about myself?  I’m an aspiring writer who enjoys sharing stories, thoughts, life experiences, and so forth.  I especially enjoy writing about what I’ve learned and what I have thought about over the course of my life. Much of what I’ve written can be found on our sister site “Life and Miles”.  You can link there from here. My hobbies include not only writing, but reading, traveling and taking care of my little fish pond.

I am a follower of Christ and teach a group of men on Sunday mornings.  My writings and my life are strongly influenced by my faith.  I’ve not arrived.  I’m a daily repenter, thankful that Christ made a way for me to serve Him and give me the assurance of eternal life.

I’ll be sharing brief devotionals, thoughts and other matters which I hope will be a source of encouragement.  While I hold strong convictions regarding Jesus Christ, the church and His Word, I will try to avoid being “preachy” when you drop in.  My desire is for each reader to find this to be a welcoming site where you’ll always feel welcome, and where Christ is honored.

I’m a Certified Public Accountant and own and operate a small practice to pay the bills.  I love what I do for a living as it gives me a chance to help small businesses and individuals with income tax and other small business matters.

I come from very humble beginnings and have been blessed to travel and do things beyond what I could have ever imagined.  Much of that travel has been on mission journeys where I have been able to meet, teach and interact with friends from around the world.

I have been married to the love of my life since I was 20.  We’re about to celebrate our 50th anniversary.  The longevity of our marriage is a tribute to her love, grace and patience.  We have six children (three born to us, along with their spouses) and seven grandchildren.  I am indeed blessed.

Thank you again for dropping in.  My prayer is that this site will be a place you’ll visit on a regular basis, and where we can grow in our faith together.
